The Tourism Board (Kurverwaltung) was founded in 1996.

Trassenheide was granted the title Seaside Resort (Seebad) in 1997 by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
In 1999, we founded an owner-operator company (Kurverwaltung Seebad Trassenheide), which is responsible for tourism management, the camping ground, the access yard and life-guard service. Following an initiative of Mayor Dirk Schwarze, the Ministry of the Interior granted us the title ‘Baltic Seaside Resort’ (Ostseebad) in 2006.

The Visitor’s Centre

As a certified agency, we provide quality information regarding sightseeing, cultural events, railway timetables, etc. The Visitor’s Centre (Haus des Gastes) was officially opened in 2000. It is home to the Tourism Board (Kurverwaltung), a public library, a museum of local history, a playroom for kids, the office of the Mayor and rooms for events.
